Yarn Suggestions for Babies

Here is a list of yarns that are suitable for making baby items. I suggest using Baby, Sport and DK weight yarns for clothing and hats. And you could use a soft worsted weight yarn for blankets.
I do not recommend Red Heart Super Saver as it is too scratchy and stiff. I would also stay away from the dishcloth cottons, they are also too stiff.

3 Patterns

I've been busy this week. Starting with the Brogen  Vest I found at Ravelry. This one is not a free pattern but if you plan on making a bunch of them like I do then it is worth it.

I also made my Collared Sweater, I would say this is more of a 0-3 month size and not Newborn.

#3 is the Pebble Vest also at Ravelry, I actually made this last month but I wanted to share the pattern link.

Ribbon Belted Sweater

Belted Baby Sweater This is my latest sweater re-do. I have also been making blankets on the knitting machine. I have 2 newborn and 2 preemie.  All they need is the border crocheted on.
I've spent the day beading and winding my hanks of yarn into cakes. I have to get back to that now.
Have a great weekend.

Kelly's Sweater

Here is my 9-11 lb. Kelly's Sweater. I am making all of my patterns and taking new pictures. It works out well since Bella's Babies needs sweater sets. I'm not sure how many sweater patterns I have but I think it is over 20.

Well I seem to be on a roll with these little sweaters. I can whip one up in a couple of hours. Finally got my knitting machine up and running. I'll be making some newborn blankets on it. I also have a bunch of fleece and flannel that was donated, that will be made into blankets too. My craft room is overflowing. It's time to clean it out again but that's a project for another day. Have a great day!
